Always On My Mind name came from a Willie Nelson painting that we bought from Karen Musgraves, mother of Country Music Artist Kacey Musgraves. She had the painting for sale in Canton, and it is the first in a series of them that she is doing of Willie. I liked the painting so much that I wanted to do a sort of theme around it in our cabin as to the name Always On My Mind. Along with that theme we wanted a country western look to some of the inside. We have a cowboy room and an Indian room. We used rustic wood on the walls and ceilings, and I made some fixtures out of old barn wood and black metal pipe. Most of the paintings were custom by an artist in California that made them personally for this cabin. We have Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, Sitting Bull and others. We tried to make a bunkroom fun by building the bunks into the walls and doing college bedding to give it color and personality. I hope there’s a favorite school for everyone.
